updating our storage devices

CD-ROM and DVD-ROM

CD-ROM disks are very com and conformto a standart but we have now in the market the DVD. Now the CD-ROM and DVD-ROM existed two types:
CD-ROM RD(read only memory)
Capacity from 700MB to 800MB
CD-ROM RW(rewriteable)
capacity fron 700MB to 800MB






DVD-ROM RD(read onli memory)

capacity 4.7GB
DVD-ROM RW(rewriteable)
capacity 4.7GB

And now there are also double layer CDs and DVDs

PEN DRIVE

You need an usb port.
They have a diferent capacitiesfrom 128MB to 4GB.
The standart capacity is 1 or 2GB.
They have much more capacity than floppy disk.
They are faster and very easy to carry.
You can use the pen drive to store files but you can also store programs.
There for you can install them in another computer or in the same pen drive.
They are becoming cheaper and cheaper day by day.
Nowadays you can get a 2GB pen drive for less than 20 euros.
